baby’s perfect growth and development depends on the mother’s rest,
making it fundamental for both. The anatomic and physiological changes
that take place in the mother during her pregnancy period will specially
affect her lower back.
Any previous back problems in the mother’s back, as lordosis, this will
lead to a wrong posture on the mother and will cause symptoms such as
ciatic nerve pains, constipation, incontinency and bad circulation, (swollen
legs, hands and feet).
As the pregnancy months go by, the mother finds it very difficult to get
a good rest since her options are reduced not being able to lay face
down on the bed. Generally this happens during the second trimester, the
time she needs it most.
